Originally from Los Angeles, Kai threw shot put and played competitive basketball, finishing as point guard at Los Angeles Valley College 2014-2015. From her love for sports stemmed a passion for movement and exercise, which manifested in several endeavors including Athletic Training, Personal Training, Wellness Mentorship, and eventually Fitness Center Management.
Kai served as a student athletic trainer for three years at both LAVC and California State University, Monterey Bay before completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Wellness. As a capstone she also became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine.
Kai served several clients throughout California before moving to Charlotte amidst the events of COVID.
Shortly after moving, Kai helped open and pioneer Charlotte's first regional recreation center as Sr. Fitness Specialist. There she developed core fitness programming and provided countless fitness classes for youths, adults, and older adults. Eventually Kai's passion for athletics inspired her to earn a Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As a capstone, she also became a Certified Specialist in Strength and Conditioning Specialist via the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Kai now serves as General Manager of Integral Performance Training, where she provides high-end, science-based services to individuals of all sport and fitness levels.
